Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with spiritual mentors, counselors, and women who have walked similar paths, gaining guidance, encouragement, and practical tools for emotional and spiritual healing.

The retreat features inspiring keynotes, guided reflection sessions, prayer and worship experiences, and intimate fellowship circles designed to help women process burdens, gain clarity, and embrace hope. Meet The Founder

Dr. Joanna Simpson

Joanna N.A. Simpson, PhD is a wife of 12 years, mother of two, and daughter of two loving and faith-filled parents. A woman of faith, a parent, social work educator, criminologist, purpose coach, and community development practitioner, Dr. Simpson is deeply committed to helping individuals integrate their faith with their everyday lives and is passionate about equipping believers to walk confidently in their God-given purpose.

She believes wholeheartedly that God has called every believer—not just a select few—to be a light in the world. Dr. Simpson also believes that every person is a leader in some sphere of life—whether at home, at work, or in the wider community—and that each of us has the capacity to influence others in meaningful and life-giving ways.

Through her podcast, Life & Godliness, and her digital platform @drjotalks, she creates spaces—where people can be real, grow together, and be reminded that God is present in every part of their lives. Her work focuses on helping individuals—particularly mothers, leaders, changemakers—discover purpose, and shine brightly in their homes, workplaces, and communities.

Dr. Simpson is especially passionate about the role of the church and civil society in violence reduction, desistance, and reintegration. Her work continues to bridge the gap between faith, academia, and social impact, calling others to live intentionally, serve faithfully, and transform their communities.
